Well things are improving. Still feeling quite drained and staying mostly in my hotel room but I feel that I have definately turned the corner now. So much so that I have booked a 6 night trip on a boat to the outer reef. There will be up to 22 dives to do and it has cost a fair old amount but that is why I am here. I am gambling a bit, hoping that I am fully recovered but I did feel a lot better. Visits to the latrine have lessened and I am not being sick as much. Nice images for you all there! Even if it starts off slowly I am sur ethat after a couple of days at sea I will be able to properly enjoy myself and the diving.
I met up with Tasha today in a an attempt to eat some lunch. At last, after a week of not eating ( except for a few pieces of fruit) I was feeling hungry. Tasha is a friend of Sarahs from York. I met her at York races last year and we had a great time. The last thing I can remember of her was that she was totally hammered and falling all over the place! Had I been on form I am sure that it could have been a messy drinking night tonight. So we met, had a couple of drinks (one of which Tasha managed to throw within 2 minutes of getting it), and had a bit of lunch. They wouldn't serve the dinner menu until 5 pm and at 4:30 I was ready to eat a blind mans slippers so I ordered some wedges to tide us over. Mistake! They were very nice but it meant that I couldn't eat that much of my dinner! But I did eat a bit so I feel happier! All of a sudden, as I was thinking that I was feeling rough again, Tasha suddenly said " You look like shit!". Thanks love! I hadn't realised that it was showing but I felt like it! So the evening was cut short but it was nice to see her again.
I guess that my stomach has shrunk from not eating for a week. I thought I could see that I was losing weight from the hotel mirrors, but Tasha confirmed it. I am skinny again! I would heartily recommend the typhoid diet to anyone wanting to shake off those extra few pounds! But buy in more andrex.......trust me... you will need them!
Well, hopefully the new found micro appetite will continue tomorrow and I will be fighting fit in time for the diving trip of a lifetime!
See you soon!
Bowel check = Magnet.
Things just took a turn for the worst! No....not a turn as in U-bend....but I have just seen that the Merseyside Derby is on Live on Fox Sports....9pm here!!! On Bloody saturday......I will be all aboard the dive boat! Oh well.... after a cracking start to the new season, Everton were going to come unstuck at some point so perhaps it is all for the best! Come on Cahill....Me and all of my Aussie mates are backing you....kick that Kewell off the park! I know Kev Caulfield won't mind Kewell getting a boot or two!
